major invite let down

so i saw these amazing invites that i totally fell in love with in theknot ny magazine...so i took down the website and found them today...i knew they would be a little pricey...but OMG $52 for one invite....no way i can fudge this one

eta: pic and the bigger picture is in my albums...it would be letterpress....

$52 bucks for one?????

that's insane! is it made out of oil/gold?
maybe u can find something similar but much cheaper. another way to go is to find some freelancer who will re-create the look for u but for much cheaper

hahah i wish....i had NO CLUE that they would be this expensive...i should have looked at the address first, Madison ave, then i would have known better...i mean i know they wouldhave been a little pricey bec of the brooch thingy but...oh welll

Wait $52 for 1 invite - that doesn't even seem right...that would mean for 150 invites that would cost $7800....I can't imagine!

If that is really the cost that is CRAZY!

if you're not sold on the letterpress you could probably make something similar on the computer.. also depends on how crafty you are lol

or if you really wanted letterpress maybe get the most plain invites then build up on them..

i'd definitely talk to an invite vendor and see what they can find for you in your budget!

very expensive....definitely check out your doc's invite person and shop around. you could definitely find someone to duplicate it.

For the brooch you may be able to google diamond brooch/necklace wholesale or even 'pageant jewelry.' It may give you some cheaper options. Also, check out China town, there might be soemthing you can use.
