reproductive endocrinologist.
I went to the obgyn today and I was referred to a reproductive endocrinologist. When I call the r.e. the first question they asked me was 'Are you trying to get pregnant'. When I said I wasn't ttc right now but wanted to in the next year'. The receptionist got all weird, asking me why I was coming to see the re. Do r.e. only want to see you if you want to pregnant like today? I made an appointment but it was very strange.

Re: reproductive endocrinologist.
Hi,Do you mind if I ask you why your ob/gyn referred you to the RE. I am TTC for the past 5 mths and have had different issues down there in the past and my ob/gyn would not do anything until I have been trying for a yr.
Does anyone know if I can just call reprod. endo. on my own. My insurance does not need referrals. Do you think they will give me a hard time?

Re: reproductive endocrinologist.
I agree with you that was strange because wouldn't you want to 'fix' any problems before you get pregnant? That's what I've been doing with my endo. Hope it all works out for you.Welcome New Vendors
