Laser hair removal – NEED ADVISE ***Updated

Hi Ladies,

I have appointment tomorrow.

I’m absolutely clueless of what to expect. Will it hurt a lot? Do I need to do anything “special” before my appointment? Will my skin be red?

Please give me your advice and share your experience.

Thank you!!!

Re: Laser hair removal – NEED ADVISE

It does HURT!!!!!!!!!!

I used medical grade numbing cream that I purchased from them and put it on for like an hr so I couldnt feel a thing.

Trust me if you dont numb yourself you WILL REGRET IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You wont be able to shower with hot water for a day or so because it will feel like you are being burned and wear sunscreen.

Re: Laser hair removal – NEED ADVISE

i think it also depends on what part of the body you are doing. I did my underarms and it hurt but it wasn't unbearable unless it was right before my period. Don't stress it, it will not be that bad. FM if you have more questions

Re: Laser hair removal – NEED ADVISE

it does hurt... but it's WORTH it! it's weird not havinng hair anywhere lmao.

the only thing that was required for me is that i shave where hair will be removed (obviously) and that's it. redness can occur, but that's a given with the procedure.

definitely worth it!

Re: Laser hair removal – NEED ADVISE

It depends on the machine they have and what part of your body you're getting done. I work in a doctors office where I have it done every 2 wks, my whole face basically. You feel a pinch initially and then it goes away. I don't put any numbing cream at all. Its like getting your eyebrows waxed but it doesnt sting as long. It also depends on the strength set on the maching. The newer lasers hurt much less than the older one. The upper lip is the most uncomfortable and the rest of your face doesn't hurt. It hurts less after each consecutive treatment.

Re: Laser hair removal – NEED ADVISE

I'm going to the place where a family friend works...
I want to do bikini, underarm and lip
Also, was considering doing my arms. My arms are not bad at all, not that much hair...Never had anything done to my arms... My friend was telling me that I'm crazy to get the hair of my arms... What do u girls think?
Also, I read that you have to shave on the day of your appointment...

You should shave the day of (or before) b/c the laser can penetrate better

Re: Laser hair removal – NEED ADVISE

I do it and I don't feel pain AT ALL! I love love love it so far. I have already been to 2 sessions and have another one next week. I booked a total of 6. I do my underarms and I get no swelling or redness.

I TOTALLY recommend Theresa Foster.
