when the mortgage/rent bill is due each month? I know that owning a house is the american dream, but really does this dream need to make me poor!!! vent sorry

right now we are renting and I know how you feel...Im so scared to get a house and see what our mortgage will be...I just wish i can win the lotto!

I know... we have our mortgage, heat, electric, etc.... i cry almost everytime i open the mail

We just started renting our own place, and just to think of what it would cost us to own our own home almost makes me cry! I feel like I will never be able to own my own house. I hope things get better for all of us.

I want to cry when I calculate how much money Ive spent on rent the past 5 years. If I had a mortgage I wouldnt feel so bad.

we aren't there yet - im nervous about getting a house - we really want to try to get something out of state so that we have a low mortgage - that is key - i dont want to live paycheck to paycheck.....we plan on renting until we are sure we can do the house and have money in the bank and have money to furnish the house

but it must feel a lot better knowing that money goes toward YOUR home and not in someone else's pocket

Its definitely a great feeling to own a house, but its so hard as well. Just the taxes alone are a fortune. I think buying out of state is a great idea if you can get jobs - you can get so much more for your money.
