09'er in need of help!! (RK BRIDAL & SIZING-Bari JAY)

I'm trying to figure out my BM sizes because I'm doing the no frills through RK bridal. The dress is Bari Jay. One of my BM is a street size 4/6 and based on her waist measurements the size chart is telling me to order her a size 14!!!! This can't be right please help.

I used No Frills and the size chart was pretty accurate.

I also had my girls go to a store where they carried the dress and try it on and I based off the sample.

Make sure your girls are professionally measure preferably at a Bridal Store. One of my girlfriends went to her tailor -- she then went to a bridal store and the tailor was WAY off.

You can't go by street size AT all. I usually am 3 or 4 sizes bigger in a BM dress thens street sizes.

Yup I agree have them professionally measured, usually you have to go by the biggest part of their body for the most accurate size. Plus BM dresses run small so dont worry if its a bigger size than street clothes.

Re: 09'er in need of help!! (RK BRIDAL & SIZING-Bari JAY)

We got Bari Jay dresses at RK Bridal....and 4 out of 7 girls need alterations because they are too big according to their size chart. Also the ppl at RK encourage you to order a size bigger but in some cases its too much. Only the girls who didn't listen to the recommendation of RK got the right size. If your BM is a street 4/6 an 8 or 10 will work for her. 14 will be huge on her.

Good Luck!

Thanks so much!! I really think their sizing chart is so off and it's really annoying....i guess ill order close to what the chart says but the alterations are going to be insane.
