That's All Ladies...The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly Of Our '08

This is the last day to post in our wedding year. I remember waking up on 12/31/07 with butterflies knowing that I would soon be married to the most wonderful man. It was an incredible year and I learned and grew so much. So, without further ado....please post your good, your bad or your ugly. It can be in words or pictures. Just a way for us to acknowledge how far we have traveled in one short year.

My Good: Listening to the music of the reception hall wax and wane while waiting in line to be announced as husband and wife....THE BEST. I love being HIS wife!

My Bad: My beautiful Lab Retriever dying a noble death at the top of the stairs. Until the last moment, he was full of love and kisses.

My Ugly: Ugh...Plenty. Talk about the Freshman 15....I've invented the Newlywed Ninety (well at least I feel like that!!). Back to the gym as of yesterday.

My good- our wedding day, which as cliche as it sounds was the happiest day of my life (so far!)

The bad- waiting for our mortgage approval and trying to close before the wedding which didn't happen

The ugly- I cant think of anything

What a great idea! I remember kissing DH at midnight 2008 and saying 'OMG WE ARE GETTING MARRIED THIS YEAR!' Now we are married old farts!

My Good: Waking up on November 8th and looking out the window and seeing it rain, and not caring at all b/c i knew no matter what that day was going to be one of the best days of my life!!!!

My Bad: Losing important people in my life this year

My Ugly: Letting the stress of wedding planning and now house setting up affect me in more ways than one...... for the New Year I am going to attempt to relax a little more because in the end it ALWAYS WORKS OUT!

the good: the wedding, shower, 30th suprise party honeymoon, rehersal dinner

the bad: been very busy

the ugly: my butt! lol time to work out!

the good: my wedding, selling our condo and being in contract for a new home

the bad: not being able to close on our house before the end of the year. the current owners wanted to stay for the holidays, and we couldn't say no to that. meh.

the ugly: that would be my NW 20.

This is a wonderful post!

The good: I am going to be cliche as well and say our wedding day, it was such a loving day truly, and I will add finding out we were having a baby, sharing that together was also so magical.

The bad: I am going to say the economy which has happened to everyone not just us, but we surely felt it...it's the only thing I could think of.

The ugly: hummm can't think of anything!

The good: Getting married of course to my best friend in the whole wide world.

The Bad: Losing a very dear family member to a very brave fright of Pancreatic Cancer

The ugly: my fat a$$

The Good: Having nothing go wrong on my wedding day. It really turned out to be an incredibly magical day plus I was so happy to have all my family from Russia there with me. They made it that much more special.

The Bad: My company was the first to go under in 2008. Even though we were eventually acquired, today is my last day at work.

The ugly: I had a lot of friends who lost their jobs this year as well as one very dear friend who moved his whole family to Florida just to have the company liquidate 3 months later.

I wish lots of happiness for everyone in 2009.

The Good- My wedding was AMAZING I felt so much love from not only my DH but my family! it was wonderful

The Bad-not having a job!!!! when the hell are things going to get better? starting to get depressed

The Ugly-putting on some of the weight I lost before the wedding:( but I will back on track soon..

OMG Girls.. I can't believe our year is over!!! Time to pass the torch to the lovely ladies of '09!!


The Good - All of the wedding planning, my shower, bachelorette party and WEDDING DAY!!! Moving into our new place and spending tons of time with DH!!

The Bad - I can't say I really had any bad events this year. (knock on wood!)

The Ugly - All of the drama that came along with it..

Good: definately my wedding, our honeymoon, and buying our first house! It was such a great, successful year for us!

Bad: My grandpa passing. It was hard.. he passed 3 weeks before my wedding. But I know he was there in spirit. And getting into a car accident that nearly changed my life. I'm lucky to be alive. In some ways these things weren't bad at all. Actually they taught me a lot and helped make me stronger. I have no regrets

Ugly: I have to say that I learned who my true friends were throughout this process. That is definately the ugly...just seeing how inconsiderate and cruel people can be

What a great idea!!!

The Good: Our wedding day! I know it's cliche but it was the best day of our lives, and something we will never forget!!!

The Bad: DH's grandfather passing away in March and not being there on our wedding day... well, at least not in the physical sense anyway.

The Ugly: All the drama that went on between my MOH and FSIL (now SIL). I will not soon forget what a horror my bridal shower was

My Good: Having an amazing wedding day and having people still rave about our wedding this has made us so proud since most people expected so little from us.

My Bad: The hardest thing was watching my grandfather starve himself to death last year before the wedding and he passed on Jan. 1st then having my grandmother die suddenly but peacefully right after thanksgiving this year.

My Ugly: Really don't have any.

The good - marrying DH and getting to live together finally after years of living apart. Also getting our first pet, we adopted a little stray cat and he's our precious little furbaby.

The bad - moving away from my parents. It was very difficult in the beginning learning how to balance visiting both sets of parents and find time for ourselves since we both have weird schedules.

The ugly - Nothing really, 2008 was the year my family, DH and I looked forward too and it thankfully, it went smooth.

We are ready for 2009!!

And today is our 7 month anniversary!

The Good: obviously getting married AND buying our house

The Bad: multiple fights between me and my mom and some with DH during the wedding planning process

The Ugly: the economy

2008 was nothing but good for us..

The good: Getting tenure, Closing on our dream first house, fixing it up and finally moving in.. marrying my best friend and the man of my dreams, the very good: finding out a month after the wedding that we were having a honeymoon baby...

The bad: I am fortunate to say that I have no real bads this year..

The ugly: finding out who your true friends are and who are 'out' throughout all of the good.. I found out who is there for me.. and who is not...

overall.. 2008 was a great year!!!

The Good: Wedding Day ofcourse, Bachelorette Party, Shower, and just wedding planning.

The Bad: All the stress that came with it

The Ugly: Newlywed 15 lol...weight gain s-u-c-k-s

The Good: Getting engaged at the beginning of this year and getting married at the end of this year. Both were two of the most amazing events in my life that have brought me an insane amount of happiness.

The Bad: Not selling my apt. That really affected the financing of the wedding.

THe Ugly: The collapse of the market and losing my job because of it, along with not selling my apt.

All in all this year has had it's ups and downs but through it all I have grown in my relationship with my DH

I also feel priviledged to hve shared this year with a wonderful group of ladies
