Puppy!!!!!! (now with pics!)

My neighbor brought over this cute stray puppy that got into her yard and refused to leave! He is so cute and sweet! She has a cat and can't have him in her house while she looks for the owners, so..... I have him!!!!! I am so excited to have such a cute and smart puppy. My DH is away for the weekend and he'll really be surprised when he comes home tomorrow! I just hope we get to keep him!!!!!!!!

PS~ anyone who lost a puppy in the centereach/south setauket area, FM me. I'd hate to give him up, but it breaks my heart to think that his real owners are heartbroken looking for him!

the best feeling in the world isnt it!!

I found a stray once, she was really cute, and i wanted to keep her, but she was wearing tags, so even though it broke my heart i found her owners and gave her back, but i shouldnt have cause they didnt even seem to care she was gone,. they said 'oh we looked for her for a half hour and figured she vanished!!' ***!!!! i would NEVER give up looking for my little puppies!!!

I'm too afraid to name him yet. I feel that if I do, it will mean that I can't keep him. He is SO good! I can't elieve it! I don't think the owners care or take good care of him. He is very thin and has no collar. Keep your fingers crossed for me, I WANT HIM!!!!!!! I will make him a great home!

Lora, i think if he didnt have tags then all i would do is call your surrounding shelters monday and if no one reported him missing hes yours!! i HATE when people dont collar up there animals... mine have soo many tags on them, id be surprised if the dogs themselves couldnt make it back!! LOL

I hope you get to keep him!!! good luck!! post pics when you can.. the animal posts are my favorite!

My neighbor who found him is doing all the calling. Her DH wanted to bring him to the ppound if no one answers his ads or he can't find the owners. That will NOT happen here! He will live with us. I am already in love with him!

Awwww....i think you should keep the puppy. If the puppy is thin and has no tags then his owners dont deserve the puppy. I hope you get to keep it.

This is how we got one of our ferrets. One of FI's friends saw it on the street and took it in. The ferret was very thin and sick looking. She brought it to the vet and took very good care of him and after he was well she asked us if we would like to have it (she is a zoo, she has so many pets. She takes in strays, makes them better and then looks for a good home for them)

I do hope you get to keep the puppy.

Well, I've been calling him Leaks for now. That's all he does, piddles everywhere. Walking him doesn't help it at all. I left him in our yard for an hour today and as soon as he came back inside, he leaked again all over my tile!

My sister's boyfriend brought over a stray puppy he found with just a flea collar, we put ads in the paper, put signs up everywhere and called the shelters- that was 6 years ago and the 'puppy' is still with me.

Good Luck with the puppy. I hope you can keep him. I'm also really glad that you're trying to locate his owner. I know how it feels to have 2 dogs runaway and never find them

My DH and 'leaks'. Please help us pick out a name. So far the only ones we have thought of that we kinda like are Dillon and Cooper. Any other ideas?

What a cute puppy...I hope you can keep him. he looks right at home with you and your hubby. I vote he stays with you forever.

What is his personality?? We have 2 ferrets and one is Mushy because when he sees people he gets all mushy and curls up in your lap or just lays in your arms. The other is stinky or as i like to call him stink monster because well when he went to the bathroom it well stank. Thank god for bi-odar, we put it in his water and no more stinky when he goes....

I love the name harley when we get a bulldog (when we move to FL) I am naming the doggie harley

or how about Lucky, because he is lucky to have found such wonderful people to be his owners
