Dress
How long does it take for your wedding dress to come in?? I ordered mine in Feb and it didn't come in yet? Is that normal? I forget how long they said it would take, and its not like I'm in a rush or anything my wedding is still a year away.... Would you call to make sure they ordered it or am I just being paranoid?

Re: Dress
its normal dont worry. They will not have your dress arrive so early bc it would just sit in the store. They usually do it so that its delivered to the store about 2-3 months before. I ordered my dress in march of 07 and arrived middle of march of 08. So took a year to come in. But what bridal stores do is they put in an order and give the place the delivery date. Its better this way bc this way its not just sitting in the store for a long time and also you dont have it just sitting in the house for a long time. I doubt my dress took a year to make, but they just made sure it came in right before I needed to start fittings which is 6-8 weeks before.

Re: Dress
I ordered mine in January and it still isn't in, I called and they said they waited to order it because they didn't want it sitting at the store for to long because there is more possibility for something to happen to it at the store then at the factory....so put me on the list for still waiting ....

Re: Dress
Mine took about 9 months to come in but they had to order it right when I placed the order because it was being discontinued that week. I also didn't order that far in advance about 10 months before the wedding.

Re: Dress
I t takes about 3mths, but most likely they haven't ordered your dress yet, which is good. you don't want to have your dress now and then worry about it turning yellow. I ordered mine around April and the store ordered it in September. It's expected to arrive in January and they store it for me in a cool place so it doesn't turn yellow.

Re: Dress
For your peace of mind, I would call. What if god forbid they didn't place the order because of the length of time until your wedding, and it ends up being discontinued without being ordered? I'm worried about this too since my dress is supposedly up for the chopping block come this December, and I'm kinda thinking the order wasn't placed yet even though I bought it in September.
