Hey girls.... since today is the '09 shower, i thought i would base the question on our own showers... so here it goes:


Do you plan on planning your own shower, or is it going to be a surprise?
Are you going to plan an outfit for it?
And lastly, what kind of things would you like/dislike at your shower?

My shower is going to be a big surprise (hopefully)... i was thinking about getting a cute outfit and giving it to my MOH to hold for when the time is right.... and some things i would def like at the shower is a few fun games to help pass the time and make the shower more enjoyable to everyone!

I want to be surprised but who knows how it will be. I want it in the backyard and very casual.
Also I would like lots of gifts there

My bridesmaid do not want me to know about it!!! They said I have to be surprised!!! My MOH wants me to give her an outfit so I can change when I get there. I just want my shower to have a very feminine feeling like a tea party or a Sex and the City theme!! I'm sure whatever they do will be beautiful...I trust them!!!!!

well i know my mom wont be able to keep it from me! so i doubt it will be a suprise, i didnt want a surprise anyway lol. im sure ill def help her with stuff too, but we'll see!

i hope it'll be a surprise, tho my mom is terrible at keeping secrets.

i probably will try to look extra nice on the weekends leading up to the wedding.

My shower is going to be a surprise but I think I'll pick up on it. I'm hard to surprise. Either way It will be a great time I'm sure.

I want to have an outfit on hand so I'll probably give it to my sister (MOH) ahead of time.

I had asked that it be 'shabby chic' themed, but really, my only request was that I dont want games played. I can't stand them. But I can't wait!

i want it to be a surprise but who knows! my family is the worst when it comes to keeping secrets... I want a simple shower....at a house or in the backyard.... I want some games to be played so its not tooboring for others

I know my shower will NOT be a surprise, because my mom wants to throw it, and she's already been asking me about places, menus, etc. And I know she's definitely going to ask me for names and addresses of friends to invite, so I'll have an idea when. I already know it's going to be in August or very early September of next year, because she told me! Plus, I'll know when it's coming because we all live in same house still, so we'll all be getting ready together, and we don't have a large family or lots of friends where there would be a good alibi as to why we have to go to X restaurant on a Sat or Sun afternoon.

I wish it would be a surprise though, so it dissapoints me a little. I don't think I even need to plan an outfit to give to the MOHs to hold on to, because it's not going to have that element of surprise. I'll probably just wear the same dress I wore to my sisters shower, it's a black tube top top and white poofy skirt with black beading on it lol.

I want it to be a surprise, but I don't think they'll be able to catch me. I didn't plan for an outfit yet bc my shower will be a long ways away. I just want a nice, fun shower.. I don't know of anything I def. want or def. don't want to have.. I know my mom, moh and fmil will plan it well!

Hopefully it is a big surprise !!!!

I think I will get a dress the beginning of the summer and give it too my sister to keep for the shower !!!


I would love to have some games played at my shower ! Don't know if I really dislike anything ...

My family is going to be throwing my shower, but I am going to plan it. I don't want to be suprised b/c I'm the type of person that I like doing things myself bc I know what I want lol I will not be planning every detail, but just have the input on what I want as food choices, games I want, and I dont want to open up gifts for 2 hrs bc that can get boring to the guests.

i don't like surprises.. but my MOH has insisted. but i dont want to have an outfit because then i'lll be obsessed with it and whether or not its the right thing. i VERY rarely have an outfit picked out and keep that on!

not having one!!! we are having a sort of 'engagement shower' and we're inviting both men and women... no opening gifts in front of everyone and no games...

my mom & my 2 sisters will be doing it & of course teh BM's will behelping. But i have no idea where when nothing. Itold them they beetr make sure my hair & outfit are acceptable! lol

I am definitely involved in the planning of my shower, both my mom and I do not like surprises. Yep, I'm going to buy a cute outfit, but I have no clue what I want. My mom already found hers, I'm jealous

i am definitely planning my own shower only bcuz im a pain in the butt with what i like and dislike and don't want to drive anyone crazy with my demands. my friends think im nuts but i'd rather plan it myself and save everyone the headache of trying to please me

I know my mom is trying to keep it a surpise but I am super nosey that I am sure I will find out. One thing I want is a viewing party....where all of the gifts are wrapped in celophane so I don't have to open gifts for the whole time and I can actually mingle and spend time with my friends and family.
