Ideas for wedding favors for a beach wedding???

Hey... I'm getting married on April 24, 2009

We are having a destination wedding in Marco Island, Florida. We have been looking at favors, found a few we like, but wanted some comments or ideas from other brides as well.

This is pretty close to what we liked. We like the beach chair with the tea light. I want it more personalized and that is what the one we found has- our names and date.

What do you guys think?

its cute, but i dunno... i dont feel like its much of a favor rather than simply a placecard holder

fh & i decided to give out rum cakes for our beach wedding

I think the rum cake is cute! Maybe chocolate sea shells. I think the chair is really cute, but what are people going to do with it?

i'm doing these for my friend in CA she is having her wedding on a beach
they will be in little trays of sand and filled with candy rocks and shells

The rumcakes are cute. I also like the chocolate shell ideas. I wanted to get the beach chairs and then scatter like sand dollars and starfish on the tables. I also saw these sandcastles and they hold a tealight as well and there is a flag coming out of the the castle which I thought was adorable. What do you think? I'll have to get the picture and show you guys.

I think thats cool. I was at a wedding that took place by the beach and they had the same chairs as place card holders and the chairs were frames instead of a tea lite. They actually put sand on the table and then displayed all of the chairs on the table.

I was also at a beach theme wedding shower and they had belgian chocolate shells in a plate on every table and they used brown sugar on the bottom of the plate as sand. It was really cool! Just an idea

We initially were going to use that but then we figured a lot of our guests werent going to want another 'chachke' around the house & would probably throw it out at some point soon after the wedding. I did alot of research for beach wedding favors & found a great mini beach photo album & gave these instead - this way it's guaranteed that people will either use it to put pics from the wedding or use for other pics - but either way - it's something usable. Here's a pic of what they looked like - they had 40 pages & fit 4x6 pictures:
