October brides not married yet ... and early Nov brides ..
Anyone else worried that the leaves are going to go from green to maroon or brown???? Around me, there are a FEW trees that are yellow or orange, but most are green and some are green with tinges of brown ... which I think is what happened last year, they just got brown instead of changing yellow, orange, red. One of the reasons i chose this time of year to get married is because the leaves would make for amazing pictures -- and I feel like they just don't change as much as they did when I was growing up.

I did think of it the other day when I ralized how many trees have already turned.jenn, its still going to be sooo beautiful...AND every picture is going to focus on you and no one will even notice the leaves...and if you do, they can photoshop the colors in that you like.

I just loooove the foliage colors and wanted some great pictures in front of trees that were those gorgeous colors - and I don't think that is going to happen now. I am going to email the fox hollow and see what my coordinator says about the trees there. I mean, by my sister's house in levittown, there are some gorgeous trees - and then the rest are green. on my block, NONE have changed. I know it all depends on sun exposure and rain (which we've had little of this month) so hopefully their trees are in the sun a lot

I noticed the same thing, I'm really hoping it holds out a bit longer, I think you'll be fine though! Your wedding is in 2 weeks and I still see lots of green

That's what concerns me! That they will never change color, that they'll just turn brown.
BTW I love your new avatar pic.

Maybe that's why I see it happening a bit on some trees - it DID get a lot cooler last week than it had been. Hopefully after this WARM SPELL we are having (too damn hot for me, I am wearing FLIP FLOPS in OCTOBER!!!!!), it will be in the 60s and seasonable and the leaves will turn ...

Re: October brides not married yet ... and early Nov brides ..
I have been watching the trees daily. Jen I think you will get the colors you are hoping for. I noticed today on my way to work (sunrise highway east to west) the there was plenty of changing going on but stil enough green for the change to last a few weeks. Some were brown and some were turning that dark purple which I love -- but there were golden colors going on too. I think ths warm spell is helping prolong it!Now if it stays in the 60-65 temp through Nov. 1 I will be VERY happy!
ETA: Jen you are right it is nothing like it used to be when we were younger -- global warming at its best!

yeah - in theory thats why i always wanted to do the fall - but you're right - they don't change the way they used too. I guess the bonus that we get from that (not necessarily a good thing ...environment and all) is that its warmer later.hmmmmm
it'll be a beautiful day none the less

I didn't think of that & although I want the color too...most of my pics will be indoors due to the time change.

thats one of the reasons I chose this month also. FH and I love fall. I love that it starts getting cool out and I LOVE THE CHANGING LEAVES. I hate raking them but they look so beautiful just b4 they fall. I think you will be fine with the color. Unless we get a really bad rain, they should be fine.
