Re: Post fun facts about your wedding date
Just a couple of many interesting things that have happened on May 23rd. I find Bonnie and Clyde to be especially interesting, but not fun (I'm Bonnie - luckily, I'm not marrying Clyde).
1929 - The first talking cartoon of Mickey Mouse, "The Karnival Kid", is released. 1934 - American bank robbers Bonnie and Clyde are ambushed by police and killed in Black Lake, Louisiana.
Oh, and it's World Turtle Day!

Re: Post fun facts about your wedding date
June 20 is the 171st day of the year (172nd in leap years) in the Gregorian calendar. There are 194 days remaining until the end of the year.
On leap years, this day usually marks the summer solstice in the northern hemisphere and the winter solstice in the southern hemisphere.
1837 Queen Victoria, the longest serving monarch in British history, ascended the throne following the death of her uncle, King William IV.
1863 West Virginia became the 35th state.
1948 The TV variety series "Toast of the Town" hosted by Ed Sullivan debuted on CBS.
1963 The United States and Soviet Union signed an agreement to set up a hot line communication link between the two superpowers.
1975 The movie "Jaws" was released.
2007 Sammy Sosa of the Texas Rangers became the fifth major leaguer to hit his 600th career home run.
AND MOST IMPORTANTLY it's the US Open and it is also The LaSalle Graduation which just so happens to be ruining my hotel accommodations.

Re: Post fun facts about your wedding date
July 2 is the 183rd day of the year (184th in leap years) in the Gregorian calendar. There are 182 days remaining until the end of the year.
It is the exact midpoint of all years! Very cool!
And Chief Justice Thurgood Marshall was born July 2, 1908, which is very cute because I work at Thurgood Marshall Academy High School in DC
