bridesmaids gifts..need advice

I know there are a lot of threads about bridesmaids gifts, but can you girls give me some ideas?? I already know one thing that I am getting them (can’t say cause one of my girls is on here) but I really want to get them something else. Something that’s special, but practical. Any ideas? What did you ladies give? Also, is there a standard amount? I have 5 girls, but some are more special to me than others, does this matter?

I gave them all the same thing but added to my MOH's gift.
I paid for each of them to get their make up done the day of and I made them each a shadow box with a picture of me and each girl with stuff about our friendship.
The shadow box was a huge hit with everyone.

For my MOH I also gave her a bracelet and a mani/pedi with me the day before the wedding.

I got mine their DOJ (necklace, bracelet and earrings) and a Vera Bradley cosmetic case full of travel size Bath and Body Works stuff. I got my MOH all of that plus a full sized Vera Bradley bag.

There's no standard amount...give what you can and what you want to I had three girls-2 MOHs (my sisters) and my FSIL. For all 3, I paid for their hair and bought them their DOJ (pearl and rhinestone neclace and earrings) and I took them all out to lunch (BM's luncheon) at Butera's about a month 1/2 before. For my sisters I also bought them a personalized picture frame for their cats
and a Visa gift card, and for my FSIL and FMIL I bought them a gift certificate to Land's End lobster buffet dinner to share. I think it's fine to get something extra for some of your BM/MOH.... how about:
their fave perfume
gift card
spa/mani-pedi gift certificate
something from Bath and BodyWorks
restaurant gift certificate
earrings or bracelet
Godiva or Lindt chocolate
scrapbooking stuff (if they scrap!)

Here is what I got/am getting my BMs

- DOJ (bracelet and earrings)
- chinese slippers to change into at the wedding
- COACH wristlet from the outlets
- REFLECT melanoma awareness bracelet
- a pocket organizer and monogrammed note pad.

I am also thinking about getting them picture frames that say either 'family', 'friends' or 'sister'. They are $30 each so I'm not sure since I have 11 girls.

For my MOH in additional to all that above I'm paying for her hair and makeup.

I got my bridesmaids the following:

DOJ (necklace and earrings)
a handbag to put everything in
a bridesmaid christmas ornament

I got my MOH the following:
same stuff as above
a gift card to her favorite store
a picture frame

i don't think there is a standard amount.
get them as much as you want.

I got them all DOJ, 5 BM I got guess watches from Macy and my MOH I got her a coach purse.

I gave my girls custom made travel bags from the website 1151lil.com

You can design the fabric on the outside so each girl gets a bag that is reflective of their own style...I cannot tell you how much my girls loved theirs and all were using them the day of my shower....

I also got them their DOJ and flipflops to wear on teh day of the wedding...
