Register twice???

Hi Gals,

I just wanted some opinions on this idea. One of my BM's told me how she registered twice for her wedding so she could include seasonal items to her list. i liked that idea and thought it would be great to be registered in time for christmas and than again before the shower. does this sound rude or tacky?? when my family asks what to get me for christmas how do i tell them 'check my registry.'
Just wanted to know what everyone thought and if anyone else is registering twice.

Re: Register twice???

I am not registering twice. But I registered now so i can tell people they can get something off my registry for Xmas. Since I will have a bday and 2 Xmas before my wedding, if a lot of stuff come off before my shower, I am just going to add more stuff.

Re: Register twice???

It would be more like adding to your registry. I think its a good idea. I have family that is buy us gifts off the registry for christmas, because they findit easier then asking us what we want for christmas.

Re: Register twice???

We registered shortly before our e-party, and many of our gifts were purchased at that time. we went back about 4 months later and took off some things we realized we no longer wanted, added new things, and tweaked our registries to make sure there were still things left, and in different price ranges.

Re: Register twice???

I had to register twice because my aunts were complaining that they didn't have enough cool stuff to buy on it when they bought our engagement gifts. I wound up adding some stuff and then also registering at Williams Sonoma for these great french rooster dishes that I really want.

Re: Register twice???

Hmm....

Some good ideas! I could just register once and then add other things later just before the shower.
I know i want to register at more than one place, but for a few seasonal things i can just add them later on.
