Monogram Cake toppers

For those who did your own monogram cake toppers, what size rhinestones or crystals did you use, how many, where did you purchase them and approx. how much were they?

I have checked out several bead shops in Manhattan and they are expensive and you don't get much for the money.

I used about 200 plus size 12ss rhinestones.
