I agree def photographer ..but then I think it's personal. I would just write down two things that are most imp to you and let those be your splurge. .

Re: Is it worth...
i agree that you need to really think about what it most important to you. IMO photography and video were the most importand so that is where my splurges are. I don't feel that invites, cake, or limo is that important so that is where I am saving money!!!Good Luck with you decision!!!!!!!!

Re: Is it worth...
Splurge on the RH (that makes ahuge difference), as well as music and photography.I'm trying to save as much as I can on flowers, especially centerpieces. I never notice a CP when I go to a wedding.
My grandma says the only time people think about the CPs is when they try to figure out whos taking it home!

I think there are 3 things that have to be splurged on because in my eyes these things make the wedding......Food, Band/DJ and Photographry

The most important thing to your guest will be the food and DJThe most important thing for you would probably be a Photographer.
All of the other stuff no one really notices

music is most important. if you have a terrible band or deejay...the wedding wont be a success...no matter how good everything else is

Re: Is it worth...
whats important to you might not be important to others and vice versa. So i would just splurge on what you personally feel is worth it. We're all different and want different things so just do it your way. I am not gonna sit here and say its a waste to spend money on anything bc while it may be a waste to others it might not be for you and i wont tell someone their choice was a waste

Re: Is it worth...
If you are going to splurge then definitely on the Photos, RH, and dress. I know many people say not to splurge on the dress b/c you only where it once. But, if you find something that you feel is 'THE' one then you should really go for it.Things I would not splurge on are flowers and invitations, but that's just me. :)
