How much did you spend on your wedding gowns???

I was just wondering what everyone has spent on the dress alone...feel free to add the total cost including the alterations...and if you wouldnt mind...where the dress came from!!!

Gown and tiara were 860 - still need veil. Won't need alterations on the gown. Purchased at Renate's in Lindenhurst. HTH!

I spent $740...its a maggie sottero from Helens Bridal in commack (i got it during a trunk sale)

oh alterations cost another $200

$1000-1500, but $1500-2000 after the changes I had made to the dress. Around $2000 after alterations

I said I wouldn't pay a lot of money... but then I found THE DRESS and ended up paying $1,400 lol

Mine was $2500 and I got 10% off at Priscilla of Boston because I bought during a trunk show. That doesn't include alterations, which will probably be around $400 for me because they are making a huge sash and bow for me.

my dad gave me a budget of up to 5000, but i am hopeing we spent less then that so i can get christian loubitan (sp?) shoes too!!!!

i never thought i was going to spend more then 1000 on a dress, but ofcause when i found THE DRESS it is going to be a total of 1850 after alterations.... O man

I went to Davids Bridal 1st because i was Determined NOT to spend a fortune on a 'silly dress that i can only wear once and they all look like the same white dress after awhile anyway' i tried on an $800 dress and was FINE WITH it....TILL i saw 'THE' Dress...$1600 LATERRRRRRRRRRR, but i wouldnt change a thing :)

i got mine at macys manhasset.. i got it at a trunk show which made it just under $1000 but then for the $150 hollow to hem it came out to just over $1000.... im not sure how much alterations will be

The Cap on alterations of $350. My veil was $20 and my headpiece $20.

The dress I am in love with is a kenneth pool fro wedding salon of manhassat that will cost between 5-6K after all is said and done. Insane price, I know. It was the first dress I tried on and fell in love with it though. Maybe Ill sell it after...

OMG - same thing happened to me!!! I fell in LOVE with a new Kenneth Pool dress at the Wedding Salon

And then found out that it is 6,000!!!

uuugghhhh.... I can't justify spending that much.... although I haven't been able to find ANYTHING That I love as much as that dress....

My gown was Free as it was a gift from my FH's Aunt who owns a boutique but it retails for $2,000. My sister's gown was $6,000 plus alterations.

wow i cant even imagineee how much mine is going to be cause my eyes only seem to like expensive things, lol! i know it already.. and this will be even before i even see the prices!! my mother gave me a budget for my dress since she is paying for my complete atire for the wedding day.. dress, shoes, veil, etc.. and i cant go over 6 thousand.. so i am really hoping i find the dress i will loveee under that price with veil and all!! =]

I thought I wouldn't spend more than 2k but when i tried on the dresses and saw the prices i knew my price would go up, I spent 3,400 plus 290 for alterations.
