Re: Farms out East to go pumpkin picking...

I posted on '08 but we go to the Milk Pail in Watermill for apples and pumpkins. If you go there, make sure you get the apple cider doughnuts. They are heavenly...can't wait to go tomorrow!

Re: Farms out East to go pumpkin picking...

I agree...head out here early because you'll be sitting in some major traffic through Riverhead, especially because it's supposed to be a nice weekend.

Gabrielsen's and Harbes are both on Rt. 25 in Aquebogue/Jamesport and are pretty popular. Stakey's is in the same area but just off Rt. 25...there's a huge pumpkin sign with 'Stakey's' on it, so you can't miss it. There's another Harbes on 25A too (Sound Ave.)

Harbes Family Farm

Stakey's

Re: Farms out East to go pumpkin picking...

We go to Helen's Flower Farm, in Riverhead, it's not on Sound ave but it's on a side road, route 105. They have a corn maze too.

Sound Avenue

We liked Harbes Family Farm

They have a website with directions.

But all the great places are scattered along Sound Avenue!

Re: Farms out East to go pumpkin picking...

DH and I went to Lewins farms a couple weeks ago, and it was really fun. They have apple picking too, as well as a field where you can pick tomatoes, peppers, and eggplant.
