Average age of people at Curves

I just saw a commercial for Curves and it seems like its mostly older ladies that go there like 40's+. Am I accurate in my assumption???

I know a few girls including myself go (I haven't started yet...not until next week) and it ranges in age. I saw girls my age (26) up to women in their 50's. Everyone was very nice.

this is a sign of aging I think...I would love to go to a gym where little 19 and 20 year old skinny girls didn't walk around in their spandex and thongs...

At the curves I go to it is a mix. I would say there is a good amount of the middle aged mom type (kids in college, etc) but I am not the only younger type there either, maybe 2/3 older to 1/3 younger? and not everyone that goes there is heavy, some of them are just looking to tone up and lose a few pounds and maintain weight, etc.. I think those commercials are misleading.

Most of the people who go to the one in Farmingdale are older. But there are a bunch of people who are younger. They offer a student discount too, so it is not just for old people. I don't really care because if it is working. Also a majority of the people need to lose a lot of weight, but there are people there who are totally just there for toning as well.

I really like it, so far. One thing I will say is that some Curves do not have all 12 machines so when you are looking at a Curves make sure they have all 12 stations.
