Re: Aruba Honeymoon
I have been to Aruba 3 times...I stayed at the Marriott and the Playa Linda...it is beautiful there......your gonna love it. Most of the stores are in the small town that they have...they have many good restaurants though....my favorite is El Gaucho....best steak ever!!!!!

Re: Aruba Honeymoon
I did go to an impersonator show....they were all men dressed as female celebrities.....it was really good!!! That was 9 years ago though.....I don't remember seeing any other shows. Aruba is very relaxing......not much night life

Re: Aruba Honeymoon
We went there in February...it was amazing! We stayed at the Divi All-Inclusive resort. Everything was included-even windsurfing!! Another thing we did was a jeep tour of the island and an ATV tour of the island. We also did the Kuko-Kanuku bus and had the best time ever!!!!! Please feel free to FM me if you have any other questions!

Re: Aruba Honeymoon
We went to Aruba on our HM, it was awesome. We stayed at Tierra Del Sol it's on a golf course, and we had our own 3br house!!! And it had an inground pool in the back yard. You have to check out the website the houses are awesome. It was cool having a kitchen and washer/dryer, and your own private pool or the option of going to the public pool. I also second El Gaucho, the food was amazing!!!

Re: Aruba Honeymoon
we just got back!! i think the hyatt was near us. the 'high rise' section imo is better than the low rise because it has more restaurants and stores nearby walking distance. the low rise seemed to have nothing and u have to cross a street to get to the beach but its less crowded. the 'high rise' u walk outside your hotel and there is the beach right there- get there early in the am to reserve an 'umbrella' on the beach with your towel. there is only one hotel downtown with no nearby beach-boat to private island (not the hyatt - starts with an R) downtown has lots of stores and restaurants. u need to take a bus to get there (cheap-few dollars). downtown is also where the submarine takes off. we took de palm tour of the island -all day tour -very niceits a relaxed island. not much partying unless u seek it i guess. we went on the beach and pool everyday. we pool hopped at different hotels. we found a few cheaper restaurants and ate at the same places all week (dushi bagels, the italian place next store and iguana joes and sabarro) at the high rise shopping area there is a water show and some dance shows but nothing fantastic. there is a movie theatre there and very nice - got us out of the sun when it was too much by the end of the week one afternoon. its oddly one of my favorite days of the honeymoon. at the beach there are tons of tents to rent wave runners (my fave) and tube rides (which hurt!) and other water activities. seems kinda shady ( all the tents different prices all want your money all trying to pull u over as ur heading to another tent) but they were all friendly and kept us safe. we left money and personal belongings at the tent while out in the water and all was back when we returned.
avoid the people on the street wanting 'your time for free stuff ' its all about timeshares unless your into that.
bring aloe- its overpriced there and u will get burned. bring earplugs for the plane - kids scream and tvs do not always work.
have fun!!!
