NW ques for the girls who still are NWs

Did you do anything different with your wedding pic?

My parents had theirs on wood, it's old school, but it was their pic on a wood oval block and apparently polyurethaned over - anyone know what I'm talking about and know where I could have something like that done?

Someone posted about not being a NW anymore when wedding related items make you sick.

Since this is wedding related I TRIED to make a funny.

My parents had the same thing! I have no idea where you can get it--it's not a carving, it's like a photo mounted on wood, right? Yeah....no clue. I will say that theirs faded so much that they finally took it off the wall and now have no wedding photo displayed at home...

personalcreations.com has some great custom afghans, quilts, pillows, etc......they're really cute and affordable...

I might get this at some point....

I am still a NW

so I can answer

My grandparents did that - and as much as I like the look it didn't fair well over time the pix is all faded

Did you ask your photogrpaher? Or did you say you didn't like him. I can't remember

You should be able to do it yourself....Michael's sells unfinished wood pieces...just cut your photo to the size...glue it to the wood...then apply a finish over the photo of either polyurethane or decopague paste. I've done it on wood box tops. HTH!
