Anyone else have wedding day "issues" they can't get over?

Or am I the only one?!?!

We have to do our album but I keep putting it off. I loved our wedding, I love our pictures.....but I cannot get over how BAD my hair looked and how none of my BMs told me so I could get it fixed.....

if it was flowers or favors or something I would be fine but I seriously cannot get past this....it's my HEAD...and it was not at all like the trial I had that I loved....DH wants nothing to do with day after pics so I'm stuck with these.....

how do I accept the fact that I looked like a tool on my wedding day?!?!?

Okay, vent over....

anyone else have something they cannot forget about/get past or regret? Please don't let me be the only lunatic...........

It looked nothing like the trial....it was up in curls but it was started too far back, it sat too low and you could see the headpiece (it was supposed to be hidden in the hair, like a headband)....

I know I sound like a drama queen but all pictures taken from the side look ridiculous....front it's ok....side, I look like a tool.....

Re: Anyone else have wedding day "issues" they can't get over?

Hmm just a few.

One, the photographer SPECIFICALLY went to DH's house to get pictures with our dog, Brutus. BUT DH's nieces were so out of control and it was such chaos there we got ONE picture of him and it is just DH petting his back. It makes me cry every time I think that he will not be in our album.

Two, we offered flowers to the Virgin Mary. This was a VERY important part for me because I wanted to pray for our marriage and also say "hello" to my grandmother who passed away in 2005. Well, DH had no idea what we were doing and didn't realize it was important. He pretended the flowers were a football and pretended to chuck them at the statue. Then when I kneeled to pray, he just stood there. After a minute, he freaked out that "everyone was waiting for us" bc he didnt know that we had to wait for teh WHOLE Ave Maria before proceeding with the ceremony BUT I couldn't fight with him in front of everyone so we just left.

Ugh, when I think of those things I GET SO MAD!

Awwwww, I'm sorry your puppy isn't in your album.....you should have an anniversary shoot w/ the puppy!

As for DH, I'm sorry that moment wasn't perfect! The football toss did make me chuckle though....

for the things that weren't just right....and a because I'm not the only one....you made me feel a bit better....hahaha....

Okay, looking at this could make me cry....

there was not supposed to be so much hair in front, the curls should have been higher and my headpiece shouldn't have been showing....

perhaps I'm dramatic but it makes me sick.....how did no one tell me?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Re: Anyone else have wedding day "issues" they can't get over?

I had plenty of things I "wish" I could do over

I would have worn my hair up instead of down...the curls fell within 2 hours of getting it done.
I would have left my cathedral on instead of taking it off.
this list could go ON AND ON AND ON!

But ya know what, its over! No one else noticed these thing so the only person they bother is me. I love my pics, no complaints there, in a few years my wedding will be nothing but a memory so I refuse to keep thinking about all the different things Id like to change b/c I cant.

Re: Anyone else have wedding day "issues" they can't get over?

I would say a few portrait shots with my MO and DH's Best Man. We do not have any. Also I wanted a few shots with my sisters and brother and the same for d's sisters. It got a little hectic while taking pies that we skipped these shots somehow. I don't publicly advertise it to them because they may feel bad as well.

They probably didn't say anything b/c they thought it looked good....I think it looks good. And a question I have is why didn't you say something that day? Made them fix it if you didn't like it?? I personally like it....

Thank you!

in the trial it was maybe 2 inches of hair in the front....I just feel like it looked weird...and of course I see it in every-single-freakin-picture!

I think your hair looked nice, but then again it is your hair and you noticed the difference prior to the other trial. I hope you get past this

I got rushed....8 BMs, a flower girl and my mom....I honestly got finished, threw my dress on and left....I never got to look at it in the mirror other than the front and back, the side was the issue....

I had everything organized...what pictures i wanted everything...and that day it went so fast and was so crazy i certainly missed some photos that I wanted. I love all my pictures and probably don't need them...but i certainly wish i took a second to think about it and check off my list to make sure i got all the pics i wanted...

Re: Anyone else have wedding day "issues" they can't get over?

So many things went "wrong" with our ceremony -- a lot were little things, but still. Most weren't noticed by our guests, but they really upset me because I feel like the ceremony is the most important part of the day. I'm really excited to see our video, but I don't know if I want to see the video of the ceremony -- luckily I didn't know about half of the issues until afterwards, but it still upsets me to think about it.

aside from that, I feel like we spent too much time going around to tables and not enough time dancing but it helped that we spent 5 hours at our afterparty so we still spent plenty of time with our friends....

No one told you because it doesn't look like there is anything wrong with your hair. If a piece of hair was hanging down or there was a piece sticking out i'm sure they would have told you but looking at that picture it looks like that is the way you wanted your hair. I don't think it looks bad or thast you look like a tool at all. Now this looks like a tool.

I think your hair looked beautiful.

Although I too have a lot of things I regret...one being that my hotel room had too many people in and out that morning (no quiet time) and I felt rushed getting dressed.

As far as not being happy with picutures, unfortunately, the behavior of a guest was outrageous, not only did it bring some of us down, it ruined some of our pictures...and this was family member, so I now have to put one of those awful pics in my album.

so you are not alone!

Aww, I'm so sorry to hear about that guest......

I 100% hear you about the room being crowded....I had the same thing....it was fun but at the same time, not what I imagined!

We'll get past this...someday....
