Re: anyone having a square cake?

We had a square cake. It was stacked. We got married 12/15, so we used a big silver bow and ribbon coming down from the top. It looked pretty. When I get my pics I will post.

I am hoping that I will get one, but I haven't checked out what villa offers, if they don't offer one then I am going to do a round one. But I definitly want a stacked cake.

Re: anyone having a square cake?

We had a square cake - with a big bow on top.
Our place tried to charge us more for the bow, but I pouted and it worked! We got married at The Metropolitan and they used Cakes by Karen - they did a great job with it.

Re: anyone having a square cake?

Shelzyp - We got married at The Coral House, they usually do round cakes, but I brought in pics and they said they would ask the baker to do it, he did and it came out great. Maybe if you bring in some pics they will try to make what you want.

Re: anyone having a square cake?

I had a square stacked cake. I wasn't picky on cakes at all except that I wanted it to be square. My cake was plain but I liked it enough-wasn't the part of my wedding I went nutsy over though!

Christy,
That cake is beautiful. Are you getting that from your hall or somewhere else?

Re: anyone having a square cake?

I'm copying Toni Braxton's wedding cake...the Tiffany boxes look. I am also leaning towards a Tiffany's theme wedding, the bridesmaids in that pretty blue color, but I'm not quite sure yet. I was watching InStyle WEddings, and they did this whole profile on Toni Braxton's wedding...it was so pretty, and the cake was just gorgeous.

FLowerfield's bakery said they've done the cake I have in mind and it would be no prob.
