I may be a complete moron... but how does one come to the realization they are addicted to sex? Obviously, like anything else there's a line you cross to become an addict... but in sex - where is that line?

I'm not even kidding.. I'm seriously confused.

Halle Berry's ex was a 'sex addict' WHO IN THEIR RIGHT MIND CHEATS ON THAT WOMAN? ...DH & I consider that an excuse for people to cheat then get a 28 day vacation in a rehab (a.k.a. spa like facility) to cure themselves.

**DISCLAIMER*** This is just our opinion on Hollywood folk who get caught cheating, they are suddenly 'sex addicts'. If there is a real disease, then I can only hope and pray they get cured.

well.... a co-worker of mine just recently left her husband because apparently HE was a sex addict. Freaky! As far as I know, he definitely wasn't cheating on her. Apparently when you're addicted to sex, you kinda 'force' it on your spouse, mainly by using some kind of abuse on them (more so - emotional abuse by making her feel guilty for saying no - EVER). And from what i hear, he would also make her do some gross things I won't even get into.

I guess it's like any other addiction tho basically, where you feel like you NEED it to survive. I don't understand it much either, but it was weird to find this out about my co-worker because I know him and he always seemed like a somewhat pleasant man. Who woulda thought.

saw an epsiode of this on montel lol. they say sex addicts lead normal lives, you would never know, but they're usually cheating, with prostitutes and other ladies. not necessarily having a full relationship with these other ladies. they feel super guilty after but cant control the urge.
