I was thinking about an afterparty......
What do you guys think?Since my reception ends at 5pm I wanted to do something afterwards. At first I was thinking about maybe bar/lounge, but FH doesnt drink. Then I saw a bride post that she went bowling after her wedding. I thought this was such a cool idea, especially since me and FH bowl with our friends.
We would bowl in 42nd st which would be walking distance to the hotel. We would bowl for less than 2 hrs then go on our merry way. I would also have the photographer booked for a couple extra hours to capture the fun.
I thought it was cool and wouldnt cost that much. I would pay for the show rental and the lanes too.
FH wasnt opposed by the idea but thought I was going to be tired. I think I will want the night to continue.....

I say do what makes you and FH happy. Even if you are a little tired from the big day 2hrs will fly by and i'm sure your close friends will love doing something different!!

I think you will def want the fun to continue. We are doing an afterparty but our wedding ends at either 12 or 1pm at night and my FH says in LI they go to a bar/lounge inside the hotel where we block rooms for our guests. So thats what we are going to do

I'd do it in a heartbeat but the only thing im thinkin of is bowling in a dress... I wouldnt have a change of clothes with me and bending over in a dress ? I dont think i'd want the world seeign what i dont need them seeing LOL

I was thinking about that too... but jen len did so it cant be that hard. Also, I was thinking about changing into like bowling shirts that were personlaized with Mrs....

I don't think we'll have one, our reception will end at 12.30, but I think we'll be too anxious to get back to the hotel/appartment/house!

Hi! We added on an extra two hours. The wedding ends at 1 am (ceremony 7:30 pm, cocktail hour 8-9:00 pm, dinner/dancing 9-1am , after partay 1 am-3 am). We knew we wanted: 1. someplace to chill after the wedding, 2. food!! 3. A place where our parents/family and our friends could all chill. I just didn't want to have to think about 'what next'. I'm so happy I did it!

Oh my god Cindy- I LOVE THIS IDEA!!! and I liove the shirts BUT I LOVE that girl in 08's pictures of her in the dress!! LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!

I wish my reception was ending earlier now to also do it.. but we are having an after party at our hotel and it will be too late to go elsewhere!

No i mean i wouldnt mind bowling in my gown bc it reaches the floor... Im thinkin more about the guests and their attire
