so weird to be back in my apt again!how long did it take you ladies to get used to saying 'husband' ... and for it to sink in that you're married? DH and I have lived together a little over a year and things dont seem that different

Re: back from st lucia! (with a Q)
Congrats & welcome back!!! Well the married part didn't feel so different for me either; but saying 'husband' STILL feels unnatural sometimes, I say it like 'my huuuuhzzzband' very slow and dragged out, my mouth still wants to say 'BF'

actually calling him boyfriend or fiance was awkward for me, calling him husband feels more natural because in my head he's been my husband for years, lol.

It's still a little strange to me.... I was laughing at the post above stretching out the 'huuuuzzbannddd'...
I feel the same way and it's been two months!!!! It is a little more natural now, we're getting there.

It's been over a year and it still weird sometimes.
But all joking side, it was probably 5 or 6 months when I started saying husband without hesistation (as opposed to BF of fiancee).

Its still very strange. Someone will refer to him as my husband, and I'm like, 'who?'

Definitely weird saying Husband to other people....I call him my Husby or Hubby all the time in private, he calls me wifey in private.....no problem. Much weirder to say husband or wife to other people!!

It def takes getting used to, that's for sure! Just when I finally got used to calling him my fiance, now he's my husband! It's only been 4 months for us, but I think I'm just now slowly starting to get used to it...

Re: back from st lucia! (with a Q)
congrats! I'm in the same place as you -- we've lived together, and our lives haven't really changed. I haven't even changed my name! But we have fun calling each other husband and wife. I can't we've been married for almost 6 weeks! I have a friend who got married a yr. ago, and she and her husband are moving from NYC to Boston. She says she thinks this now makes it seem more real -- that they are making a major change together.
