Any single Moms on the '09 Board? Let's chat about your FH adopting your child/children

Donna is a single Mom. When you marry FH, do you have any plans that he should adopt your child/children? If you have children in the 11/12 yr. range, how do they feel about changing his/her name? I think this is a delicate age to be. Josh would like to adopt Shaun. But Shaun does not seem ready to give up the name he has now. There has been discussion on having his last name be a combo of his present last name+Josh's last name, and Shaun seemed to warm to that idea. Mary MOB

Im a single mom with a 13 yr old and I dont want FH to adopt him. Not being mean or anything but, he is older, will be 14 and 1/2 by the time we are married. If he was little it would be different.
