Hair Help (re-post from NWR)

The ball is tomorrow...

I'm having my make-up done at the Bobbi Brown counter at Nordstroms (for free), but I don't know what to do with my hair.

I think the occasion calls for more than my regular boring look, but I'm not really interested in paying a fortune for an elaborate up-do.

Any suggestions on easy to do elegant styles, that I could do myself or with help from AL? I was thinking perhaps something with a vintage style to it (but thats probably wishful thinking).

my hair is just above my shoulders - pretty much all one length with some face framing layers.

I'm so excited to wear my dress again!!!

The best make my own updo I have had was with jaw clips. I would tuck the hair all underneath a large clip.

Re: Hair Help (re-post from NWR)

I wonder if I can do this:

comes with directions:
CENTER PART WITH RINGLET-CURL SIDES
(1) Part the wet hair from the center front to below the crown of the head. Make another part at right angles to the center part from the center of the right ear to that of left ear. (2) Comb the back hair straight and make three rows of loose pin curls at the neck. (3) Comb the front hair on each side upward and backward and tum it over the thumb in a forward downward movement into a long ringlet curl. (4) Place a roll of tissue inside the ringlet to make it looser and pin lightly. Dry under net, then remove the tissue and pin side coils, lightly blending the ends into the back hair. The back hair is combed into either a cluster of soft curls or a single smooth roll.
