Hello Moms!

I'm getting married in April next year, and my Mom just doesn't understand how it can all cost sooo much and she keeps telling me it's only a big party. I know that she's happy for us...she tells us everyday and tells my fiance what a great new son he is! But, I want to try to get her on here and chit-chat with everyone else that is in the same boat as her. Anyone have any suggestions on how to get her on here...?? Or, better, advise I can give her that I can print out for her?

She was married to my Father (RIP - 2005) back in 1968... and they had such a small little reception...of all about 35 people. I'm having a bit over 240! BIIG difference! I just want her to relax a bit more and prove that I'm not going over-board. I'm getting FANTASTIC deals on EVERYTHING and doing tons DIY! I just think that she is stressing more then I am about finacnes when she already expressed she was only giving a SET amount. We are fine with that;...but at her age, I don't want her stressing the way she is.

Any help ofr suggestions would be greatly appreciated. THANKS!!

If you can get your mom to join LIWeddings so that she can begin chatting with all of us. After speaking with us for just a short time I am sure she will start to see how much times have changed.

Good luck Dani. Tell her that it is so addicting and we all become such good friends that I still come on to the site and my son has been married 11 months now.
