NWR - Boxer Puppy Breeders?
My fh and I are interested in getting a boxer. We definitely do not want to go through a pet store. I'm trying to look for different boxer rescue groups but I thought I'd also ask here. Does anyone have a boxer or know someone who does and can give me the information of a good breeder? Thanks in advance if anyone can help!

FMIL has a boxer...and she is cute but VERY high energy!!!! Sometimes I like her when she is calm...but they really do have a lot of energy and need a lot of exercising!

Re: NWR - Boxer Puppy Breeders?
I have a boxer.... see pic. She is AMAZING!!!! I have had 3 dogs in my life and she is by far the best. She is lovable and well behaved. They do have a lot of energy and if they are not trained or not getting enough excercise then they can be destructive (just like any dog). My puppy has not chewed on furniture or been destructive at all. We make sure we take her on walks and take her to the park or off the leash parks to play with the other dogs and expend some energy. I don't know what to say she is nothing short of amazing. The Best tempered dog I have ever had. She never barks and shes just so well behaved. Everyone that meets her falls in love. Just like any dog they can not be left alone for long. MY FH works 5 mins from home and walks her during lunch. She is never left home alone for more than 3-4 hours at a time. I live in apt (actually a multi-family house) and she is fine.Unfortunately I don't have a breeder to recommend as I got her out of state.
Let me know if you have any questions. I would be happy to answer them.

Our friends have the best behaved boxer - he is adorably ugly - his tongue is a foot longer than it should be... but he's still super cute. He is very well trained. They live in MD, so I can't be help with where they got him... but he's great. He has a girlfriend boxer named Lulu... he goes craz y when you say her name! It is too cute.

I know they're very high energy and of course I've done my research. We have plenty of space for a dog this big and plenty of time to devote to him or her.
Thanks everyone for your stories and suggestsion!
