Re: Read any good books lately?

I am half way through 'Love The One You're With'. It is a light read, written well, perfect for a beach book or airplane ride to your honeymoon

Re: Read any good books lately?

Someone talked me into trying 'Twilight' by Stephenie Myer . I thought it would be a little childish because it involves vampires but I'm actually enjoying the series ( I'm on to book #2).

I also finished 'Goodnight Nobody' by Jennifer Weiner and 'Diary of a Mad Bride'. Both were okay.

I wish I could find something amazing like my favorite books, 'My Sister's Keeper' and the 'Kite Runner'!

I heard 'The Time Traveler's Wife' is good. I might try that next.

Re: Read any good books lately?

My sister just had a book club meeting at her house last week and they read One for the Money.
She said it was great and everyone was looking forward to talking about it b/c it was funny. She said its about a woman who gets laid off (I can relate to that) lol and she becomes a bounty hunter. I'm planning on reading it this week.

Re: Read any good books lately?

I'm currently reading the memory keeper's daughter, before that I read Chasing Harry Winston and Shoe Addicts Anonymous. . .

My sister's keeper and Nineteen Minutes by Jodi Piccoult were great too.

There was big thread on this last week or something, try doing a search!

Re: Read any good books lately?

If you want something funny, just look up the author Laurie Notaro. You may spend the duration of your honeymoon laughing by yourself. My favorites of hers are 'I Love Everyone (And Other Atrocious Lies)', 'But We Thought You'd be Prettier' and 'Autobiography of a Fat Bride'.

I also just read Killing Bridezilla by Laura Levine, which is hilarious also!!!! (Don't worry; it's not knocking brides, the bridezilla that was killed happened to be nasty BEFORE she was getting married).

If you're looking for something dramatic and sad, try 'In Her Shoes' or 'Good in Bed' by (I think it's) Jennifer Weiner. Good stuff!!!
