How long is everyone going to wait to have one?? Fh and I would like to be preggers by this time next year

I want to finish school and be teaching long enough to be up for tenure before we have kids because I want to be able to stay home a few years if we can manage till they can start pre k.

But even without that plan, still not ready. LOVE babies and my baby clock is ticking LOUDLY each time I visit with friends who ahve babies but I want to travel and do other things first before I become a mommy.

Until we are ready-we dont really have a set time, we both want them soon but not too soon-Im sure that didnt answer your question at all

Originally when we were engaged we agreed on starting to try at our 1 year anniversary. Well, with that coming up in just a few months, we are def still not ready. I would say we'll start trying in maybe 1-2 years from now or thereabouts.

I guess when we both feel like we're really ready emotionally for the change. Finances, home/house situation, etc. - those things may never be exactly how you want them to be when you start a family, but we both feel like we have to FEEL ready, you know?

In an ideal world, I would already be pregs, but we're going to wait about 2 years. DH is starting his masters program next year, so once that is over (or close to being over) we'll start trying. Plus I have to stay in my job for another 2 years to get a pension (I work for the county). My goal is to go out on maternity and NEVER come back!

i don't know if we'll ever be ready. we talked about it last night. definitely not until i'm done with school; we're going to reevaluate in 2010.

a couple of years at least...my sister is getting married 7/2010, so I guess around that time. I anticipate difficulties due to my PCOS.

We would like to start asap. I am 30 but he is 40 and I have a daughter and he doesn’t have any kids. My daughter is 11 and he’s been with us since she is 3 so he is like her father but we hope to have more and start soon.

we hope to start a year from now, but it'll all depend on how long it takes us to sell our condo and buy a house. we would like some "us time" in our future house before we have a baby.

We are going to wait until we have a house and I finish nursing school. I would say about 1-3 years.

We're about 12 weeks along now and are due in January.

I'm 38 and DH is 42, so the clocks were ticking and we were ready emotionally. We still have a lot to do to be ready otherwise--we have to try to sell our condo and buy a house. Sometimes I get overwhelmed thinking about it, but in the end, we'll work it out.

We waited 9 months before we started trying. I'll be 7 weeks pregnant tomorrow and its also our 1 year anniversary

about 3 years...I'll be tenured and done with my master's. This will have me making enough $$ and with job security as well as some free time.

We are talked about it and when it happens it happens. i do definetly have the fever.

Things are a bit up in the air right now with jobs for us, and we want to be eligible for the FMLA leave for when the baby is born. So I think at a bare minimum, we'll start TTC in about a year to a year and a half.

NOT YET. lol. i get MAJOR baby fever here and there...yes i would love to pick out things for a little nursery & be a mommy & see the hubster be a great daddy.. BUT when i think about all that it really entails, and how the rest of our lives will be about THEM and not us at ALL anymore, i get brought back to reality real quick lol. We have time... i'm only 23 and I'd really like to pursue my acting career...dh would like to really pursue his company he started recently, and we both want to get a few vacays under our belt...we'd also really like to spend time with some of our friends and spoil our nieces & nephews for a while...this year money didn't really allow for any of these things lol, but it's a new year & we have some plans in the works i'd say MINIMUM we're probably gonna wait atleast another 3years...we've been married just over a year and 1/2..

but here's to babies!

we are trying now. i am not a spring chicken so we really can't wait. to be honest i am little nervous. i work in the financial industry & i go to work everyday wondering if i am getting laid off. on plus side been there 15 yrs so i would get a good severance. i guess things will fall into place.

everytime i see babies... i get the fever! hope i make a good mom
