Need opinions on Album (UPDATED with pics on 2nd page as per suggestions)

I started our day after album layout and I'm finally settling on a style signature of my own which is exciting. I tend to like simpler layouts with a little bit of Photoshop work but not too much and i stay away from busy layouts because it gives me a headache if too much is going on.

I want a classic timeless look with a modern edge but I don't want it to be boring. So i want to post a few and get opinions. TIA girls.

Dang things wouldnt post! Too big-had to resize. LOL Ok take two...(in no particular order.) i will be doing some full spread pics-like one pic across 2 pages like the one in the tree. and some of the usual overlapped pics-background pic and others on top. I just want a clean look but not boring.

ETA: UPDATING with changes as per suggestions from you ladies. still missing a few spreads but almost done. I'll hold off posting anymore after this till its completed so not to bore anyone.
























From white background to black and excahnged the side pics as suggested to pics of us.

OMG Jenn these are GORGEOUS.

Here's one edit regarding content (versus layout) that you might or might not like...
In the first spread, we've got DH buckling your shoe; then 2 pix later it looks like you're fixing what he did. Now this may be exactly the way it all went down, , but it reminds me a wee bit of what goes on when I ask DH to load the dishwasher, and I end up rearranging everything 5 minutes later.

Other than that the layout/content are SUPERB to my amateur eye!!!

My vote is for the one of YOU buckling. You look like you know what you're doing; DH looks like he's concentrating WAYYYY too hard (as my DH would be too).
I also love the watermark pic behind that of his boots and your sexy red shoes, that's a great background!!!!

Yea that was my vote too because its a brighter shot but I was rubbing behind his ears in the other pic because he did look so cute with that INTENSE concentration like he was difusing a bomb and not just buckling my ankle strap. Gotta love boys.

Maybe you could reverse them? So the one of you doing it is first, and then the one of him is after it so it looks like he came to the rescue to help you with your shoe!? I just think they are really cute pics.

One edit and this is totally personal preference but I am not a fan of the close up of the same picture on the same page as the original ( when you are laying on his lap )

i have it in my album and i wish i had taken it out, just seems like a waste of space to me where you could put another picture in!

but i dont really have an artistic eye.

other than that, AWESOME!

So the last 2 spreads-you dont find those two similar to one another? they wouldnt be anywhere close to one another in the album at all and I like both layouts but I awas afraid they might look too similar.

Oh thats a good idea Gina. Im going to try that and see how that looks. Because that is sort of what happened. I couldnt get it and he took over and I found it cute of him. Thanks!

I do agree with Tilde though about the closeup of you on his lap....is there another pose from you guys on the bench?

I haven't done my parent albums yet....do you do albums for others by chance?

Thanks Tilde-this is why I ask for other eyes because I thoiught that too but DH liked it. Im still not sure about it because it does seem repetitive to me. Im going to look at the other pics as I design the rest of the pages and see if anything might work better.
