i cant take pics at sands point for my wedding! :-( I need new suggestions!!!!

i cant take pics at sands point for my wedding! :-( I need new suggestions!!!!

I just found out that Sands Point Preserve closes at 4:30 so I cant take pics there for my wedding

I LOVED how there were mansions, woods, and a beach there


can anyone think of another place like this?? I dont have the money to go to a place like old westbury gardens or the planting fields. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I really want a park like setting but with a beach...or a beach nearby?

Our ceremony is in nassau and reception in suffolk so u can basically tell me anyplaces!

What about Captree Beach... it's tiny, but there is a small beach and a dock.

I like the out side grounds at Larkfield too..

But there has to be some public beaches open at that time

Sunken Meadow Park? My sister took her pics there and it was windy but they are beautiful....

Hecksher Park. I was there a few weeks ago for the first time and they have a beach and park.

Bayard Cutting Arboretum--

off of 27A in between east islip and oakdale

they have the water and an old mansion and wooded paths- just what you wanted- give them a call to see what there hours are!!!!

I was planning on taking my wedding pics here too! I thought it was sooooo beautiful!!!! I love that they had so many areas to choose from between the beach, the mansion, the park and the pool!!! I just called to double check and your right..she says they lock the gates at 4:30! You would think they'd be open later especially in the summer..I never even thought this would be an issue! I'm going to keep looking if I find anything I'll let you know! Please do the same!

Sands Point is very strict with all that stuff. i work in Port washington and used to drive through sands point to see the houses and the cops stop you because they know you are not from the area. i was never stopped, but people I know from work were.

How about bar beach or down in that area? its close by?

I passed by their yesterday, VERY NICE! I'm going to be going there for photos most likely if I choose Sans Souci as my RH.

Farmingdale College has beautiful grounds. The only thing is that its $250, not sure if that's too much for you. They are right on Route 110.
