i think i know what i'm doing... (grooms cake)
I am in one of my overly ambitious moods and i think like 2 nights before the wedding I am going to bake a few rectangles of sheetcake...then on the top layer I'm going to gouge out a 'pond' then ice the cake and pipe 'grass' all over...then get a fisherman figurine by the pond...and out of crushed graham crackers i'll make a dirt path leading to a jeep. i can fill the pond with either blue icing or blue jello.i made a 'pool' cake for my nephews bday once and this is what it came out like...

I'm sure if I took my time I could get the grooms cake to come out neater.

That's really cool! He would love it! I have a question for you-have you spoken with your RH about bringing it in? I have a friend that is making my groom's cake for me but I'm not sure about the RH serving it-like do they need licenses/insurance. We're not having a RD so I don't really have another time to give it. I just wondered if you had any feedback from the RH?

Thanks. I am going to call my RH this week and ask. I also thought there might be a cake cutting fee for that too. Because it's a wedding so that can't possibly be free!
