Home makeovers

I feel the need to makeover my house...DH bought our house years before we were married, so it's always been more of a bachelor pad, but we're slowly redorating and I'm adding more of a woman's touch to the house.

Anyone else doing doing any redorating, or home improvements in general?

We're repainting some walls, I'm searching for some nice throw rugs and artwork for the walls of our bedroom. I'd also like to liven up the guest bedroom, right now it's just a room we use for storage that happens to have a bed.

Re: Home makeovers

We've been in our house for 2 mos. now and there's a bunch of stuff I want to do. We have furniture to buy, I want hardwood floors, we have to paint some rooms. But it's all gonna take time. We used a lot of our savings buying the house so DH feels like we should build up our savings before we get into any big projects. I guess he's right.

Do watch HGTV? I've gotten a ton of grat ideas from the shows. Also, if you go on the website, they will usually have product info for the stuff they used on the shows. My favorites are Find Your Style, Divine Design, and Color Splash.

Re: Home makeovers

I'm pretty much ok with the decorating. But I'm always on the look out for accessories. Marshall's/Home goods is good for that; sometimes artwork but actually Burlington on Stewart ave seems to have more of that. But you need to be lucky with it - - finding something you like.

Raymour and Flanagan's advertises their clearance store on rte 110 you might find something there.'
happy hunting.
