South Carolina?
As some of you know I'm Scottish and having a destination wedding in NYC then hoping to go on somewhere else for a week. What do you think of South Carolina for HM destination? Where would you recommend to stay? Thanks for your help!

Re: South Carolina?
I would probably say myrtle beach... I have never been, but it is supposed to be beautiful... BUT I would say that your should keep going south and go to Savannah, GA. I actually live in Savannah and it is really beautiful and romantic. It can get pretty hot though. If you are interested in Savannah FM me b/c I work at an Inn and can give you info and recommendations. Good Luck!

Re: South Carolina?
Charleston is so lovely! Such a pretty city to wander around - it's a great "walking" city - you wouldn't need to rent a car or anything There are lots of beautiful old mansions to tour, tons of history, and horse-drawn carriages everywhere. And the food is to die for. I forgot to see when you're getting married, but it is HOT in the summer, very hot and humid, so that would be something to consider.
We stayed at the French Quarter Inn which was luxurious and beautiful, and in a great location. French Quarter Inn
Hilton Head, I don't know too much about except that it's so famous for its golf (you being Scottish might be more interested in that than I am!). And as a PP mentioned, Myrtle Beach is known more for partying. I think Charleston would be nice for a very low-key honeymoon (and a quick one - I don't think you'd need to be there more than 3 nights).

Re: South Carolina?
Has anyone been to the Outer Banks in NC? FH and I are trying to consider all different honeymoon options. We are on a tight budget and since neither of us have travelled much, I figure almost any place will be new and exciting.
