Anxious Brides

How do you deal with an anxious bride?

Ordinarily it's the other way around and the guy is more nervous about "losing his freedom" but in my case I think I'm a lot calmer about the situation than she is.

In her spare time now she thinks up situations wherein we would need a divorce. Now THAT'S positive thinking!

Any tips?

Re: Anxious Brides

tell her to relax herself. DO NOT let her have time to think. Let her plan things to keep her occupied. Calm her by telling her what my hubby told me (not that I worried) "As long as you don't try to kill me, everything will work itself out." Once that was established we were fine.

Re: Anxious Brides

Oh my god! I need to know about her! I am so anxious it is not funny! I am totally freaking out and everyone thinks I'm crazy. Its not that I don't want to be married its just that I am very aware of how its serious you know? Its more than picking a dj and a dress! It's the person you spend the rest of your life with! When I feel overwhelmed by it I actually watch those wedding shows. For some reason watching other people's ceremony and seeing how in love they are in that moment makes me calm. Good luck! I think its no big deal!

Re: Anxious Brides

Women tend to over analyze and think WAY too much. Though we think of all of these senarios, it doesn't mean she is having second thoughts about marrying YOU. It's only smart to accept the fact that things don't always go as planned and with divorce rates today, it's hard not to think of the "what ifs". HOWEVER...if this is taking a toll on your everyday life, then I would say to talk to her and stop worrying about what MIGHT happen and enjoy what she has now and tell her that it really upsets you to hear her speaking so negatively about your marriage

Good luck!
