Help My MOM!!!

My mom needs help with finding a dress! She is looking to spend no more than $200. Any ideas where she can go in Suffolk County?

Did she try David's Bridal? They are reasonably priced. I think there is a store in Smithtown.

She did...she thought she found the dress and it wound up being $350!!! Ouch!!! We are still searching!

Would your mom be willing to drive to Brooklyn? If yes then try Doris Fashions on 18th avenue & 68th Street. I got my gown there for Peter and Nina's wedding and it was $325. + tax and alterations, but they did have gowns that cost less. It is a small store with a huge selection. If you go ask for Maria and then Josephine to do your alterations.

Thanks for thinking of me..but I know my mom she would drive to Brooklyn...lol She said she wants to go to the Bayshore Mall and then back up to Davids Bridal. She thinks she can get a dress under $100 but she is starting to realize she is gonna have to spend $200+!!! I told her at least she would have a dress for later occasions!!

Hey you never know.....stranger things have happened. I wish her luck and hope she does get exactly what she wants for the price she wants. I went shopping for Nina and Peter's wedding expecting to spend at least $1,000 because I spent $550. on my dress for my son Michael's wedding in 2003 and was I very pleasantly surprised when Maria at Doris told me the gown I had on and loved was only $325. that is what finalized the deal besides the fact that I loved the dress.
