Honest Opinion Needed on Favors

I am torn on what to do. I originally wanted to get a small, fall themed 4x6 photo albums for each couple/guest with one of our Thomas Paul engagment photos and a little poem thanking our guests for being part of our special day inside each one. But now i dont know if its just going to be a waste of money. Would you like that if you received it as a favor or would it end up in the trash?

My second choice would be to just do some chocolate truffles.

Lastly I was thinking of making a donation to one of our favorite animal rescue agencies. And giving a small picture of one of the animals in that rescue the money would be going towards (like for a surgery) and a poem thanking the guests for coming.

Im torn.

We're doing 4x6 photo albums as favors, also. FH and I are both HUGE picture people so it was fitting for us. I think (hope!) that everyone will like them and use them!

Chocolate or the donation.....or both. But I'm anti traditional favors of any sort, so that's just me.

These are all really good ideas. I love all of them but I'd say go with either the first 2. I'm a huge animal advocate as well, but not everyone at the wedding will share your sentiment on that --especially if u're serving meat on your wedding day (i'm sure if it had to with breast cancer, or St. Judes etc.. they'll care a littl more)...so I say give something that they can enjoy.

to be completely honest, I personally wouldn't like any of the 3 you mention, but that's just me.

At most Greek weddings, favors tend to run between $7 and $10, sometimes more. Donations are rare because we like to give something others will use or display in the future. If chocolates are given, they're given in addition to the favor.

Over the past 5 years I've lost count of how many picture frames and photo albums I've received, so I personally wouldn't want to receive another one.

As I mentioned, this is my own personal opinion; in the end do what you want.

i think we're doing chocolates bc we're chocoholics...even though sometimes I second guess too bc it may be too warm

YES! They were so good. I liked the Caramel, Toasted Almond, white chocolate the best. My Fh liked the Mint. He loves mint.

Ok this is JMO...I have gotten chocolates before and both times they were stale (one was even godiva!)

Anyway I votied for the album....I really like that dea! The donation is good too but dont put a picture of the animal....may make people feel too sad....if that makes sense.

DEFINITELY Truffle Trolley! We ordered the samples, which come wrapped as they would for the wedding. We also ordered a box of assorted flavors...all delicious, and they have a ton of flavors.

I love the truffle idea. We are doing cookie cutters and dontating $ to the Cancer Society in my Aunt/God Mother who just passed from cancer.
