QOTD: March 24, 2008

Good Morning Ladies!!!


I hope everyone had a great weekend and a great Easter!!!
Well its Monday and we are all back work…. Is it sad to say I cant wait for Friday haha

I want to thank Kristi again for making me BOTW!!!


So todays question comes from what I have been experiencing the past several months …. A lot has been going on in my life. I have been betrayed by people who I thought were my friends and “soon to be family“. These people did the unthinkable and I’m trying to forgive and forget but it seems to be way to hard. Also my grandmother is sick and not doing to well. I have been through a lot in the past year…. Going through all the this sadness has made me realize what is truly important in life.

So my question is…. What are you thankful for???

I’m thankful for many things….
1- my family. They are such loving, caring and giving people. They are my backbone when I don’t have one. They are my strength. I can always count on them. They have never doubted me and always stood by me.
2- for FH, he has made me an incredibly strong person. He has showed me the true meaning of love. Has stood by me when I needed him the most.
3- My dog… haha I love her like she is my child.
4- My TRUE friends…. God where would I be without them. In the past several months I have seen peoples true colors. But my real friends stood out. I love them for being who they are and loving me for who I am
And last…. I’m thankful for Me… I’m thankful for that person I am. The woman I have become. The goals I have accomplished and the goals I will accomplish. For becoming that strong person I have always wanted to be and standing up for what I believe in.

I am thankful for my health and that of my family and FH and his family.

I am thankful for the ability to do what i want from a career perspective.

I am thankful for my best friend my FH

i am thankful for the ability to be happy about my life

1. i can't begin to express my gratitude for FH. he's kind, honest, helpful, and loving. he treats and respects me as an equal, loves me as a whole package (flaws included), and he always puts me first. he never fails to make me laugh, and he indulges all my indecision and hair-brained schemes, including the ones where i drag him around the world on wild (and costly) adventures.

2. i'm grateful that all my hard work--putting myself through college and grad school and busting my butt to get tenure--has finally helped put us in the financial position of being able to travel and have a nice wedding in spite of little help from parents.

3. i'm thankful that my brother is coming up on 5 years cancer-free this christmas, both of our moms have their health (at 54 and 67) and my 2 year-old niece is healthy, happy, and beautiful.

4. I feel blessed that FH's family has always treated me as one of their own, and my FMIL is about as easy to get along with as any bride could hope for.

5. i'm happy that we can share this time with real friends. there are a lot of lonely people in the world, and we're lucky to have so many good people who love us.

I'm thankful for only having three months left of being in a long distance relationship (I hope - as long as I get this job). I am thankful for my adorable puppy and my very helpful and supportive family. I am thankful for my friends, who have been super supportive. I am also thankful for my FH who has started helping with the wedding planning and that's really nice. I am also very thankful for all of the tutorings I have acquired in the past two months, which making the feeling of paying for the wedding less and less impossible.

I am thankful for my family, especially my mom and my teenage son.
I am thankful for FH, even with him being a pain in my b u t t
I am thankful for my puppies, Daisy and Rosco who love to cuddle.
I am thankful I have a job, have a roof over my head and can survive considering my situation.
I am also thankful I got to spend time with the ones I love before they passed, especially my daddy

I am thankful for sooo much:

I am thankful for my FH, Scott. He is the light in my life and has truly completed me as a person. He makes me the happiest I have EVER been and every day i grow to love him MORE AND MORe. I don't know what I would do without him.

I am thankful for my family.... they are amazing people who always support and help me through everything. I wouldn't be who I am without them.

I am thankful for my friends.... my GOOD FRIENDS who are TRUE FRIENDS and they know who they are because they make me smile all the time and I love being with them and having great times and laughs with them.....

I am thankful for my Goddaughter/Niece/Nephew... these little ones can make me smile at the drop of a hat. I love to see them and spend timewith them, playing, reading, having a great time... I spend a lot of time with my goddaughter Ashlee, because I babysit her once a week... and we have such precious times together, I wouldn't trade those for the world.

I am thankful for my health---having not been the HEALTHIEST of children... due to my bone disease, I am thankful that I am healthier now

I am thankful for my job! I love my career... I love the people I work with I am truly happy

1. I am thankful for everything that I have accomplished in life so far. it has NOT been an easy journey.

2. I'm thankful for having such a wonderful FH who is there for me, understands me and supports me in everything.

3. I am thankful that with hard work, and budgeting i will be able to have the wedding i have dreamed of cuz MAN i NEVER imagined it would be SO EXPENSIVE!!!!!

1. my health and my families health
2. fh.. he is such an amazing person and so good to me.
3. of course my family.
4. fhs family. i feel so blessed to be marrying into a normal family.. ive heard horror stories my whole life about the in laws and i honestly love mine. theyre such good people
5. and lastly my friends without a doubt.

1) i have a huge family support base
2) i have found the love of my life and he's supportive an affectionate
3) i have a great and intelligent son (who's a mamma's boy)
4) i have a job currently
5) i and all those who i love are alive and in good health

I am thankful for my family- they are amazing and wonderful and have given me everything I have ever wanted in life. I have been lucky to have so much love and support from them.

I am thankful for FH's family as well- they are a wonderfull bunch and I am looking forward to having them as my family!

I am thankful for my job and my boss- I could not ask for a better job and work environment and not to mention a boss who understands that this time is important to me. He is willing to let me take as much time as I need to plan this wedding! Not many people can say they have that!

Last but not least- my FH!!!!! He has been nothing but a positive influence on me and I love him dearly. He is the best FH anyone could ever ask for! I can wait until he is my HUSBAND!

I'm thankful for a lot but most of all my parents. They would literally do ANYTHING for me. They put me first before themselves. They always check to make sure that I have everything and that I am happy in life. If they had $1 left they would spend it on me no questions asked.

There are a lot of things I am thankful for but I can not even list them in the same category as my mom and dad.

I am thankful for my health, my family, my friend, being able to be happy, and most of all for sharing my life with someone I love. I have a lot to be thankful for.

Thank you for bringing up this topic. I think I needed a reminder of what is important.
