duvet cover question

i have a down comforter and i registered for a duvet set... my mom says that she's heard that duvet covers are bad because the down comforter moves around inside it. anyone use a duvet cover? what do you think??

We've always used duvets.
If it fits properly, the comforter should not shift inside.
If is does, you can easily use a safety pin in each corner, or you can sew snaps in each corner (on the inside) to anchor the duvet.

I'm going to have to agree. I've used Duvets for years and I don't have too much of a problem with them. As long as you fluff them often and wash them, they should be fine. Good luck!!
