Couples Resort Negril/Swept Away Negril/Ocho Rios

We saw an ad for these all inclusives today...never heard of them! Does anyone know anything about them for a honeymoon? They look to be competitive with Sandals......

I went to Breezes resort in Ochos Rios. I liked Jamaica but I am not crazy at the fact that in Ochos Rios the only time you can leave your resort is to go to Dunns River Falls (dangerous place)

Have been to the Grand Lido in Negril. Beautiful. Tough ride from the airport, but worth it.

Weve been to Breezes in Montego Bay which is a sister resort (I think) to those you mentioned.

Jamiaca has amazing beaches (I think MoBay is a lot nicer than Ochos Rios) and natural wonders (Dunns River) but the towns were definitely uncomfortable for me b/c of the constant cat calling and instanctance from shopowners to look at their wares. Driving around is a definite danger too! As a result we stayed mostly on the resort.

We had a great time but everything was mediocre. Food was blah, activities were adequate at best, nightlife was dead, room were okay.

At the same resort, another couple told us they had stayed in Sandals and there was no comparison.

I stay at Sandals Montego Bay and we had a wonderful time. We visited Dunns Rivers Falls in Ocho Rios, and also Negrill. The food was wonderful -- I ate too much. Night life was great, they had shows, barbecues, and a dance club.

We've been to OR before, have heard the beachers are better in Negril. We're also going to Couples for our HM! We had no problems during our stay in Jamaica, went to Dunns River & the town day/night w/no problems mon. Jamaica is just like anywhere else in the world, take your common sense w/you & you'll be fine. I def. recommend seeing some stuff off the resort cuz what's the point of going to another country if you don't see it? Good luck w/your HM decisions, I've only heard good things about Couples & can't wait to get there!

Edited to say we're doing the double-take program, a week in Negril & a week in Ocho Rios! supposedly if you go this route you get the cheaper OR price as well.
