Booked my Honeymoon! Going to Excellence Riviera Cancun!

Hey girls, well a lot of you have been asking about where to find a great travel agent and have also been asking about a particular travel agent “Travel Tom” Tom Varghese from American Express. Well I saw Tom on the boards being recommended by other brides so I thought I would give him a ring to see what he could do for me. I knew that I wanted to go somewhere romantic and all inclusive so I called Tom and explained what I wanted and my budget and he single handily helped me to pick my destination. Tom went above and beyond to help me pick the perfect destination, even talking with my fiancé and me up until midnight at times to go over options and answer all of my questions. Tom was nothing but first class and looked out for my fiancé and me personally, he could have sold us the most expensive package or let us pick something that we thought was good but using his many years of experience not to mention he’s been to many of the destinations personally is a super plus. Tom was never pushy nor was he one that would leave me hanging, he almost always answered my calls and if I had to leave him a voicemail he got back to me no later than 24 hours. My fiancé and I finally choose to book our honeymoon at the Excellence Riviera Maya in Cancun, Mexico. Using Tom’s recommendations as well as reading many of the reviews on websites such as Trip Advisor's (by the way Excellence Cancun was rated #1 out of the top 10 hotels for romance in Latin America / Caribbean, #2 out of top 10 for the most romantic hotels in the world, #20 out of the top 100 best luxury hotels in the world, #3 out of the top 10 best luxury hotels in the Caribbean /Latin America by Trip Advisor's) this was the right destination for us. So I highly recommend Tom, no matter what your destination and budget he will find the perfect honeymoon for you we will definitely be using him for our future travel planning/bookings!

We went there not for our HM but on vacation the year before..FABULOUS. You will have a phenomenal time. II have tons of pics of the place so FM me if you have any questions.

We went to the Excellence in Punta Cana for our HM and it was better foodwise but the resort itself in Cancun is 100x nicer-I discuss them both in my wedding review.

We stayed at that exact resort and had a great time!

The only problem was that we had tiny ants in the bathroom and the ants went into my toiletries and suitcase. We called down twice, and the ants were still there.

Also, the hotel was not aware that we were honeymooners (eventhough we called 2x), so we didn't get the honeymoon package until the 2nd day.

You will love Cancun, I went this past summer.
Make sure to take a tour, try an all day jeep tour.
FM me if you want the name of the one I took.
Make sure you go reef snorkeling, and dont rent a car.
The bus runs every 2 minutes along the strip that passes through the entire hotel district.
Cabs are cheap too.

PS. Make sure to take US singles, tip with that, and get some chump change worth of mexican peso.
