DIY ideas for weddings...

Alot of these can be used with any color scheme, I came across them on martha stewart... thought I would share!

Seed Favors
Put seeds in plain white coin envelopes available at stationery stores, and label with an eraser stamp. Or use a rubber stamp, or make a heart with thumbprints. Put growing instructions on back, noting when seedlings need to be transplanted.

Felt Fortune Cookie How-To
1. Using fabric shears, cut a 4 1/2-inch-diameter circle from a piece of felt. Cut a piece of matching ribbon slightly shorter than 4 1/2 inches. Using wire cutters, cut a piece of floral wire slightly shorter than the length of ribbon.

Re: DIY ideas for weddings...

I know someone has a halloween themed wedding...
These decorations bring sparkle to tables and serving areas-and they last far longer than jack-o'-lanterns. To make one, use a medium-size paintbrush to spread a layer of white glue over the surface of a small pumpkin. Hold pumpkin over a paper plate or a sheet of newspaper to catch excess glitter. Sprinkle powder glitter over pumpkin in several colors (we used penny, persimmon, orange, and pink champagne), covering completely. Let dry for about one hour; shake off excess glitter. Coat stem with brown acrylic paint; let dry. Pumpkins will keep for months.

Re: DIY ideas for weddings...

Set the stage, and the table, for Halloween with these strange creatures -- half bat, half pumpkin. Bend a 7-inch wooden skewer one-third from its blunt end. Fold a square of black crepe paper into a triangle over two-thirds of bent skewer, and secure with a glue stick. Fold top point of triangle down, and glue. Cut scalloped edge. With an awl, punch holes in opposite sides of a mini pumpkin, and insert wings. Write names on small tags; scorch edges for extra spookiness.
