Re: Share your favorite recipes.
I love making Italian Sausage with onions and peppers pasta. I just do my own thing (no recipe) and it is yummy:1lb of Italian sausage (i like it hot!)
2 green peppers (or mix and match red, etc)
1 yellow onion
1 small can of tomato sauce (like the little 8 oz ones by Hunts or Del Monte)
Marsala wine (like making a drink..I do about a three count !
)Your favorite type of pasta (plain ole ziti for me)
Here's what you do:
Cook the sausage in the oven for about 25 minutes or until done (375-400 degrees)
Meanwhile slice the onions and peppers and sautee them with a little olive oil.
When the sausage is cooked cut it up into little slices and mix in with the onions and peppers. Mix in your marsala wine or other red wine for taste and put in the tomato sauce. Let it simmer on low for about 10-15 minutes. Cook your pasta and drain and then mix it all together...YUM YUM!
It is not a very 'saucy' dish..so if you want more sauce in it just up the amount of tomato sauce you use. Serve up with a ceaser salad and some bread and more wine of course!

Re: Share your favorite recipes.
This isn't a recipe more of 'I didn't do this correclty, what do I do now?' type of post.I made pillsbury brownies on Sunday night. After 40 minutes of them sitting out and being cooled, they became hard! I also noticed that the top edges were all burned. Except the inside was perfect. FH and I worked around the edges but how do I control that. I followed the recipe to the T and used the same temperature as was mentioned on the box.
I did it on an electrical stove. Not my fav, but that is what FH's family has. I used the lowest rack which is closest to the bars that give off heat (don't know what these are called).

Re: Share your favorite recipes.
Maybe it was because it was on the lowest rack.???????? Just a guess.

Re: Share your favorite recipes.
I would say definitely the oven. My mom has an electric stove and I think the cooking time, temp, and position is very different from my gas stove. Is it an old stove? That could be the temp not evenly heating as well.

Re: Share your favorite recipes.
I HATE that stove! And I will have to use it for 2 yrs! My parents have had gas stoves since... So for me to use electrical stoves its kind of hard to get used to.It def. doesn't heat evenly. Even the stove top doesn't heat evenly. It is old so I guess that has much to do with it too.
I thought it was me and my bad newbie cooking!
