Hmmm.... I've never seen it, I don't think there is anything wrong with it. But wouldn't you want to be announced to something different? If there is a song that you really like, keep it for the two of you, have your BP come out to something different. JMO.

It can definitely be done!

We were announced to the same song as our BP...it was instrumental version of a special song for us. The band leader had them play softly for the BP intros, and then really kicked it up when we were announced.

We had BP in to 'Walking on Sunshine' intro part, same for us, I think ... to tell the truth, they could've been playing 'Mary had a little lamb' for all I know after that ... It's amazing how you hear nothing! Don't sweat it, we gave the band a suggestion & let them take it from there.
