Would it be strange to get two different dresses for my BMs with different necklines???

I have 8 bridesmaids and 1 matron of honor.

My MOH looks AMAZING in this dress which I had initially wanted for all my bridesmaids:


Unfortunately, it doesn't look good AT ALL on the rest of them as they are quite busty and the cleavage is too much. Therefore we chose this dress for everyone (but in the rose color):


This is my wedding gown:



Would it be strange to have my MOH wear the halter and the rest in the empire spaghetti straps?? I am in strapless so I wonder about the changing necklines - me being strapless and the BMs being nearly strapless and then the MOH sticking out like a sore thumb in the halter???

My sister MOH had a different neckline then my bridesmaid....she was pregnant at the time & had to have straps.

i dont mind the different necklines at all- in fact it makes her stand out more as a MOH...

I think it will be beautiful! How many are in the wedding party?

I was in a wedding where 2 BM wore halters, 2 wore strapless and 1 one spaghetti straps....we were in black and it looked awesome!

My BM will be in wine dresses....2 in sweetheart necks, 1 in strapless...all different styles. I dont think BM should have to look like Bopsie Twins! It is so dated! Go with your idea....I love it!

I think it would be beautiful! My 3 BMs will have strapless, and MOH will have spaghetti straps (diff dress also)....and I think it'll be great!

i'd say black tuxes.. your dress and the BM dresses are elegant...so think they will compliment well... JMO..

I had a different dress for MOH and it was great b/c she felt special, and she should b/c she helped me the most!

I think it would look fine! A lot of brides choose a slightly different dress for their MOH in a matching color so that they stand out. For my MIL's wedding I was the MOH and I wore a completely different dress from the other BM's in the same color.

I like the idea of different dresses but similar styles and same color.

At my FSIL's wedding, her BM's were in cranberry 2 piece dresses where they got to pick the top and they all had the same bottom. It looked really nice. But... her MOH (also my FSIL) was in a mauvish pinkish dress that didn't go with the rest of the color scheme at all. Especially since the bride's dress also had the cranberry detail in it.

Everything looked great except for the MOH dress. It just did not go with the rest of the color scheme at all. But the BM dresses with the different tops and same color along with the bride's dress with the same color detail looked beautiful!
