Bachelorette Party Question
FH's friends all put in money for h is bachelor party. He didnt have to pay a dime. I thought this was soooo nice of them but I didnt know if its whats normally done. Most of the guys that went were his GM but some werent. Are my friends supposed to put money in for my bachelorette party or is that just something nice they can offer if they wanted to. I never expected them to do it but FH keeps asking why they dont offer to take me out.

Re: Bachelorette Party Question
My FH didn't pay a dime for his either. They went away for a long weekend and he said he literally never opened up his wallet. Are you not having a bachelorette party at all? Maybe I'm confused.......

Re: Bachelorette Party Question
FH's brother/BM, is trying to organize his batchelor party. He has made it very clear to all the guys that FH will not shell out a dime for a drink or anything else. I think for guys it's really not that big of a deal, where for girls, they have the shower, then the batchelorette party, then the actual and new outfits for all 3!!!

Re: Bachelorette Party Question
Well I would love to have one but Im so tired of organizing everything myself that I think IM going to just forget about it. Im tired of doing everything. The way it'll work out for me is, Ill have to set it up myself and pay for myself all night. Its just not worth it to me. For that, its just a regular night out that I can do any weekend. Ill have to order the shirts and any of the party stuff too. The only one that gets it is FH's cousin. She has done so much for me already that I wouldnt dream about letting her worry about my bachelorette party too. SO I think IM just canceling the idea. And its not even about the money. Fine if they cant pay for me, I understand but at least help me book it or someone take charge.

Aww, Lea, are you having BMs? None of them are coming up with anything, are you sure of that? Maybe they're surprising you, do you think that could be??

Re: Bachelorette Party Question
I have 3 BMs and a maid of honor. Two BMs are underaged, the other is FH's cousin who is already taking care of my bridal shower. My sister is MOH and lives in Philly and she just doesnt know that she's supposed to be helping and at this point I dont think it makes sense to even talk to her about it.

Nah I give up. Im not having one. I already threw it out there yesterday and I said IM probably canceling it. So if they really wanna party maybe they'll take charge. This is more stress than I need.

Tell them - I'm guessing your probably the first of your friends getting married - but be like 'the bride doesn't usually have to plan her own party - surprise me!'
Then I'd kind of laugh it off in a half joking, but not really kind of way.
They probably don't realize they need to step up.
