What are the best hospitals to deliver?

Last time I was on LI Weddings I was planning my wedding. Now I'm planning a child birth! WOW!

Does anyone have any information about the best hospitals to deliver at? Any personal experiences about Good Samaritan?

My sister delivered my nephew at Huntington Hospital and had a great experience.

Good Sam is a good hospital and they have their own NICU in case something goes wrong. I am going to be delivering there next month. Unfortunately they don't have private rooms. But I figure how bad can it be for a day or two.

I have read about the way hospitals are ranked. The best are the ones that have Level IV NICU ( level IV means actually lung/heart life support for the baby). There are 3 in NYC: Cornel, Columbia and Mount Sinai. HTH

My sister is fnishin up her surgery rotations (med scool) and she says that the top three hositals in Nassau are LIJ-North Shore, Winthrop, and South Nassau
